I have been a taxidermist for 8 years. I started my business as a hobby and then it escalated into the business it is today. I take great pride in my work and it has grown into hundreds of customers from 5 different states.

I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. My degree is in Primary-12th grade Learning Behavior Disorders and 5th-9th grade Math.

I have been married 24 years and have 4 children.
I am also a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army National Guard. I served 4 years on Active Duty in the 3rd U.S. Infantry and have been in the National Guard for 12 years. I spent 1 year in Afghanistan as a platoon leader for a Route Clearance Package finding and destroying IED’s (Improvised Explosive Devices). I returned home in March of 2009. Chad managed my business while I was gone for the year.
 
Chad Nickell has been working with Dulen’s Taxidermy for approximately 3 years and is an instrumental part of the business. Chad works for the Department of Fish and Wildlife as a technician.   Chad has been a taxidermist for approximately 8 years and is huge asset in prepping animals for the mounting process. His expert knowledge on the mounting process is an instrumental step in Dulen’s Taxidermy being able to get your mounts back in a timely manner.
 
Dulen’s Taxidermy is very serious about getting your mount back to you as quickly as possible. It is ridiculous for you to have to wait a year, a year and a half, or even two years to get your mount back.
Some taxidermists want you to believe there is some “magical process” that your animal has to go through and it takes a long time for this process to work out before you can get it back.   Taxidermy work does take a lot of time, on average I have a 30-60 day drying time before I can do the finish work, and the process is not easy, but it’s not “magical.”
There is a magical process and I’m going to tell you what it is. You have to work!! The more you work, the more you get done. Funny how that works isn’t it?
 
Here’s the deal with Dulen’s Taxidermy…if it takes me a year to get it done…it’s free. Excluding getting deployed with the military or major hospitalized. Other than that, it’s free if it takes me a year. On average I have mounts back in 6 months or less and I have another part of my website where you can check the progress of your mount.
